KEBV knife gate valves can be used for modulating service by modifying the round port to a V-notch port or other shapes.
Standard round port valves in the near close position create a crescent shaped opening that can easily be clogged by suspended solids.
The addition of a V-port can greatly reduce the change of clogging while also providing a little more linear flow control characteristics.
A V-Port knife gate design, used to limit and control flow, is offered for throttling applications where a more linear flow characteristic is needed.
